About The Place for Children With Autism in Champaign
The Place for Children with Autism Champaign–Urbana provides individualized ABA therapy for children in a structured setting designed to feel similar to a preschool or daycare environment.
The newly renovated center includes seven classrooms, an indoor sensory gym, and a separate activity area. Classrooms are equipped with toys, sensory materials, engagement activities, and dedicated space where children can work individually with their therapist on personalized schedules and treatment goals.
Therapy combines one-on-one ABA sessions with group activities, giving children opportunities to work on developmental skills both independently and alongside peers. Treatment plans are created in collaboration with families and are tailored to each child’s needs, abilities, and areas of focus.
The Champaign–Urbana team uses evidence-based ABA principles while adapting therapy to the individual child rather than following a uniform program for every family.
